Description
The Bivouac area of the Park has been inaccessible to private cars since 2003 (Cyclone Erika). However, it is still possible to stay there, but the question of transportation arises! Sud Loisirs has been offering a 2-day package for several years, which includes mountain bike rental, a kayaking trip, and the transportation of your camping gear to the Bivouac Area.
We propose the following organization:
DAY 1
Meeting at Pont Pérignon on Saturday morning between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM
You will entrust us with your "bivouac" belongings (to be transported to the other side of Pont Pérignon) while keeping your small "day" backpack with you.
You will spend the day cycling to discover the must-see attractions of the Park: Forêt Noyée, Sentier des Cagous, and Grand Kaori, Pont Germain. You can enhance your experience with short or longer hikes (Trois Forêts, Méliphages...), until you reach the Bivouac Area (12 km).
We will take care of transferring your belongings at midday to the Aire des Pétroglyphes or the Terminus area (Old Refuge), depending on the occupancy of the places.
DAY 2
The morning is generally dedicated to relaxation by the river...
You will need to reorganize your "Bivouac" belongings so that we can collect them at midday, around noon. IMPORTANT: Your belongings must be ready by noon! Please manage your lunch accordingly.
Bike ride to the kayak launch site, which varies depending on the season and water level of the lake: Camp Bloc, Forest Entrance, Faré Forêt Noyée... we will specify this upon your arrival.
Kayaking around 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM according to our instructions. The itinerary lasts 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the season.
Final bike ride back to Pont Pérignon, where we will return your belongings. It will be around 3:30 PM.
Note: In some cases, we may offer you a different kayak departure on Day 1, especially for the more athletic who plan to hike to the Grande Cascade on Day 2. Please consult us.
IMPORTANT: You must ABSOLUTELY REPORT your overnight stay at the Park entrance ticket office, where you will need to pay the fees for two days + one night, totaling 1600 CFP per person.
What can you bring?
The term "bivouac" is used to signify that you should travel with the MINIMUM amount of belongings possible, similar to hikers who must carry everything themselves. HOWEVER, since we will be transporting this for you, you can add one or two coolers and a tent "not fitting in a backpack."
Please ensure that everything is packed in a way that makes it easy to handle and is protected from the elements (potentially transported in a pickup truck bed).
Items that are too bulky or that we deem unnecessary may not be transported:
- Inflatable mattresses, kite-type pumps...
- Guitars and other large instruments...
- ...
On-site facilities:
The bivouac areas are equipped as follows: within the same perimeter, 1 to 3 shelters with picnic tables, lawn for tents, toilets, cold shower, water point (untreated but potable), BBQ with some wood provided (please bring newspaper and matches). Please note that there may sometimes be a ban on making fires, which must be strictly respected. Do your grocery shopping once you are at the Park (687) 43.61.24 regarding the "Fire Prevention" vigilance.
Some details on pricing:
PRICE FOR A MINIMUM OF 4 ADULTS. A supplement of 2000 CFP applies for 3 adults, 3000 CFP for 2, and 4000 CFP for 1.

Discounted rates are available if you bring your own bike. It will obviously be cheaper!
